Insights into how the transition to a sustainable tourism destination is managed

Wednesday March 20, 2019

In March 2019, a combined group of NHL Stenden and University of Groningen students will go on a field trip to the Wadden island Ameland. During this trip, the students will get practical insights into how a transition towards a sustainable tourism destination can be managed. Different experiences from various perspectives such as the government, the DMO, the nature protection agency and tourism entrepreneurs will be shared with the students.

The field trip is part of the master course ‘Policy and Planning in Leisure and Tourism’ which is coordinated by ETFI researchers Stefan Hartman and Jasper Heslinga.
