Internship Assistant Project Leader (2x)

The European Tourism Futures Institute is looking for two heroes who want to strengthen our team during their internship and graduation research from September 2021. Do you think that you are the curious, proactive, initiative-oriented and critical researcher we are looking for? The team player who feels at home in an open and dynamic group of people? Do you want to develop into that permanent, driving force in the ETFI team that we later think of; how could we ever have done our work without you? Then respond to this vacancy.

Who are we?

ETFI is the research institute of the Leisure & Tourism Academy of NHL Stenden University. We are driven by our ambition to make the leisure sector (tourism, recreation, leisure) resilient. We call it “Building Resilience”. We work on self-initiated projects on topics that we consider important, on subsidised research projects and on projects with and for professional field partners.

What else you should know about us

We continuously switch between Dutch and English on the work floor. Some of our colleagues do not have Dutch as their mother tongue. Team meetings are also in English. We offer an international working environment, an open working atmosphere, as little hierarchy as possible, an opportunity to work on challenging and high-profile projects and the freedom to devise and develop your own initiatives. In fact, the latter is very much appreciated. Internship compensation is self-evident and in accordance with the applicable rules of NHL Stenden.

What are you going to do?

Participate as an all-round researcher/project employee with projects that present themselves (very concretely: the project “Wadden gastronomy“) with the aim of developing into junior researcher/assistant project leader. In terms of content, this concerns, for example, support during workshops (scenario planning, training, etc.), presentations, document analyses, interviews, design of publications (InDesign) and drafting reports.

For both vacancies it is an advantage if:

  • You are available for an internship of an entire academic year (2021-2022)
  • You are able to speak and write in Dutch and English

Please fill in your details below and upload your motivation letter. You can respond until 28 May 2021. Selection and interviews will soon follow. We look forward to meeting you!

  • Max. file size: 64 MB.
  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
